Common Questions

What's the difference between an RWC and a COI?

A Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) is required when selling or re-registering a vehicle. A Certificate of Inspection (COI) is a periodic safety check required for some vehicle types to maintain registration. Both are issued by TMR-approved inspection stations like TFD.

How long does an RWC inspection take?

Most inspections are completed within 45–60 minutes. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book.

What if my vehicle doesn't pass?

We'll give you a clear written report of exactly what needs to be fixed, with a repair quote generally ready the same day. Our mechanical team can handle the repairs on-site β€” no need to go anywhere else.

How long is an RWC valid for?

A Queensland RWC is valid for 2 months from the date of issue, or until the vehicle travels more than 2,000km β€” whichever comes first.

Do I need to book in advance?

Bookings are strongly recommended to secure your preferred time. Call us and we'll do our best to fit you in promptly.
